Not many technologies have changed the face of computing as much as Public Key Cryptography; and not many throw a party like Sathvik Krishnamurthy.
Sathvik used to be the VP of Marketing at ValiCert (where I worked prior to Microsoft); and one thing most everyone who knows Sathvik can agree on is he does certainly know how to throw a party, which he did just yesterday celebrating the 30th birthday of Public Key Cryptography.
After ValiCert Sathvik started Voltage, they are building products and toolkits based on Identity Based Encryption (IBE), IBE is a encryption system that leverages a shared key server, elliptic curves and a mathematic techique bilinear maps to make it posible to encrypt data securely using a target identifier like a email address,
In any event I wish I could have been there, and am glad to see things going so well for Sathvik and crew!
