I love the Christmas holiday, this was most certainly the largest holiday of the year for us (a close second to the Fourth of July) my Dad would just go crazy with gifts and holiday cheer.
Well that rubbed off but with all the shopping for everyone else I couldn’t help doing a little shopping for myself too (it’s a sickness I swear!).
Late last month I picked up a new amplifier for my home system, a Rotel RSP-1095, its great it makes a huge difference over the amp in my Yamaha RX-V1400.
Well this got me looking around at replacing the Yamaha as a sound processor also, with that in mind I have spent a bunch of time perusing eBay and Audiogon looking for a great deal on a used Rotel RSP-1068 or Rotel RSP-1098.
Well just the other day I ended up getting a 1 year old RSP-1068 for $900 + shipping, this is a pretty good deal considering a new unit runs $1699 at Definitive Audio.
Now the only remaining item I need to finish off my home stereo is a B&W 825 subwoofer, problem are these very seldom showing up used so it may take a while.
Well no more toys for me for a while, but these should tide me over :)
