The other day I wrote about PKI, in this post I said “its plausible that in the near future Kerberos will fit better into places where only PKI based solutions would fit today”, well it looks like the folks at MIT announced a plan to build a new “Kerberos Consortium” that from my read of their charter makes me feel like that’s one of their primary goals.
Only time will tell if they are successful, but it’s definitely worth keeping a watchful eye on.
