A while ago my wife asked me to do a post on COMCAST's DVR (see: Yes, Dear… A post on COMCAST’s DVR); there is good news for those who are suffering with this fine (sarcasm) solution right now, according to Gizmodo TIVO is getting ready to do trials for their version of the PVR software that will run on the same box.
That's right, folks will go from Microsoft TV Foundation to Motorola TV to TIVO; I hope that COMCAST does not do the same thing they did to the MS TV Foundation solution they deployed (they apparently disabled many of its features and hacked it up in interesting ways); in any event the TIVO software is great, I hope what they put on these boxes is as good as what they put in their retail boxes.
