Well just purchased the families season's passes for Stevens Pass, it came to $515 per pass so we will need to go 10 to 11 times to break even.
For those of you not from around here, Stevens Pass is in the Cascades and is roughly an hour away from Woodinville [where I live] and offers some of the regions best skiing.
It has a top elevation of 5,845' which is lower than Crystal Mountain's 7,012' but Crystal Mountain is at least an extra hour from the house and no where near as convenient to get in and out of.
For you regular air travelers Steven Pass is to Crystal Mountain what SJC is to SFO.
In any event were optimistic were going to get a early and long season this year so we can really take advantages of the pass (its a huge time saver); that being said purchasing these passes is a real risk a they don't offer refunds if the season doesn't really happen (like in 2005).
