Started a new job this week...

I have been meaning to write about this for a while but for various reasons have not been able to, I have accepted a new position within Microsoft as the Lead Program Manager for a group focused on multi-factor authentication and technologies that support a vision of a "password-less Windows".

I enjoyed my time with the Enterprise Networking Group but it was time for a change, they have lots of cool stuff do in the next release and I wish them the very best!

As for my new job, I am exited about being back in Windows Core Security I have lots of friends over there and the technologies they deliver are near-and-dear to my heart.

Though I can't talk about all of the stuff my team will be working on one of the areas we own is the Windows infrastructure for smartcards, as part of this I am off to Paris tomorrow for PC/SC and Cartes.

Thing is that there is a transport strike in Paris that starts the day I arrive, and ends the day I leave; lucky me!

After Paris I am off to Dublin, Ireland for a day to visit with one of the members of my team, if all goes well I will be back in Seattle, WA next Friday.

So now's time for a shameless plug, were hiring; the new job descriptions are not on the public site but here are some key positions related to the group that I really want to see get filled, take a look and let me know if your interested:

There is one more Software Development Engineer position too, but I just can't find it right now but trust me if you like the idea of a password-less Windows you will like this .

Ryan, password-less Windows sounds great. If anyone can make it happen....great work in the world of networking...
