The other day I replaced my WBR-1310 with a DIR-655, however I found that its default configuration would not work with my Momento picture frame; its likley this is a issue with the picture frame and not the DIR-655; in any event I found a nice blog post at SharpStyle Labs explaining what Mike had to do to get it working at his home.
The core changes one has to make on the DIR-655 included:
- Disable WPS.
- Set it up for WPA only.
- Set it up for TKIP only.
The issue here is likley in the CE image that the Memento 100 uses, but its VERY concerning that these devices require one to weaken the security of their home network to use; I hope they come out with their update soon.
